Mercedes-Benz has officially unveiled the 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA and CLA Shooting Brake facelift. Both models are looking instantly recognizable and all the modifications were previously seen on the A-Class, a year ago.
On the design side we have spotted new bumpers, a revised diamond grille, and restyled 18-inch alloy wheels. The 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA and CLA Shooting Brake facelift are also available with a revised color palette that now includes Cavansite Blue Metallic.
Inside the cabin of the modified models there is an updated upholstery, a new infotainment system with an 8 inch display and a revised instrument cluster.
In Europe, the new 2016 Mercedes-Benz CLA and CLA Shooting Brake facelift will be offered with a wide range of petrol and diesel engine. The entry level will be a 1.5 liter diesel unit rated at 109 horsepower. There is also the 2.1 liter unit with 136 or 177 horsepower. On the petrol side you can find the 1.6 liter turbo unit rated at 122 horsepower or the 2.0 liter which can deliver 184, 211 or 218 horsepower. The range-topping model is the AMG CLA 45. It comes with the same 2.0 liter petrol engine rated at 381 horsepower and 350 lb-ft of torque. This enables the latter model to accelerate from 0-60 miles per hour in 4.1 seconds before hitting a limited top speed of 155 mph.
