Ford has officially unveiled the 2016 Kuga facelift model. The car will be officially showcased during the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona. On the front part of the car we will see a bigger trapezoidal upper grille combined with a smaller lower grille along with sleeker headlights with LED DRLs.
The fog lights and the taillights will also have been modified. In addition we see fresh 17- to 19-inch alloys available in new finishes, including Luster Nickel.
Inside the cabin, the 2016 Ford Kuga facelift has a revised air-conditioning controls, a modified steering wheel and an electronic parking brake. Just like the Escape US Spec, the facelifted Kuga will come with the new SYNC 3 infotainment system featuring an eight-inch touchscreen display with support for Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
A more important thing is the addition of a turbodiesel 1.5 liter TDCi engine rated at 120 horsepower which is offered exclusively on the front-wheel-drive Kuga. The engine will join the existing 150-hp 2.0 TDCi and the turbocharged 1.5-liter EcoBoost gasoline engine sold with 120, 150, and 182 hp.
The 2016 Ford Kuga facelift will go on sale in Europe this fall.
