Fiat unveiled the current 500 on 4th of July 2007, at exactly 50 years since the first model was launched: the small and popular Cinquecento. Judging by the importance Fiat gave to the date of July 4th, this year the facelift of the current car will be introduced same date.
Fiat already made a public announcement, but did not reveal too many details about the changes we will see on the small urban vehicle. We will probably find new bumpers, easily restiled headlights, some new colours and alloys and some new trim levels for the interior. On the technology side, Fiat will install a five inch display in the dashboard and also keep the coloured bord computer, behind the wheel.
In the official press release, Fiat wants to let us know that marketed in 100 countries and with more than 1.5 million sales globally the next chapter in the 500 story is about to begin.
