Along with the new A5 Coupe, Audi also unveiled its sporty version, the S5 Coupe. As we expected, the new S5 Coupe uses the same engine as its four door brother, the S4: a new turbocharged V6 engine.
With 354 hp, it delivers 500 newton meters (368.8 lb-ft) of torque to the crankshaft, sending the speedometer from 0 to 100 km/h (62.1 mph) in just 4.7 seconds. And, thanks to its S sport suspension, the top model sits even closer to the road. At higher speeds, the optional sport differential, also available for the TDI with 286 hp, helps the car.
Being 17% more efficient than the older model, the new S5 Coupe consumes just 7.3 liters of fuel per 100 km (32.2 US mpg).
To make everyone understnd we are talking about a true sports car, the power is subtle suggested with the an exterior trim, emphasized by the S5 logo with a red rhombus on the flanks, grille and tailgate. The logo is also found on the interior: as the welcome screen on the MMI display, on the chrome trim around the gear selector and on the door sill trim.
The sharper S exterior design and the S-specific details in the interior underscore the dynamic character of the Audi two-door sports coupe.
