Volkswagen has announced a few updates of the 2015 Beetle and Beetle Convertible. According to the German car manufacturer, the updated versions of the city car will get five "new" engines that are more fuel-efficient.
"New" Engines
All the units will be Euro 6 compliant. We are talking about three petrol unit rated at 105, 150 and 220 HP, while on the diesel side there are two engines with 110 and 150 horsepower.
Technology
In addition, the upcoming 2015 Volkswagen Beetle will get the Discover Media navigation system, a rearview camera and Rear Traffic Alert with Blind Spot monitor. More than that, both cars can be ordered with the DSG transmission that now has a coasting function.
Exterior
On the outside, the new 2015 Beetle and Beetle Convertible can be painted in three new colors: Tornado Red, Pure White and Reflex Silver Metallic.
Availability and Price
According to Volkswagen, the new cars will go on sale later this year. In Germany the coupe will have a price tag of 17.825 Euros while the convertible will cost 22.125 Euros.
