Porsche today introduced the all new 2015 911 Carerra GTS model. The car is going to be positioned under the current 911 Turbo and is going to address people who like performance and want some extra equipment.
We are talking about extra equipment because the standard features will include bi-xenon headlights with the Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS), sport exhaust system, driver and front passenger leather-trimmed sport seats and an exclusive Alcantara interior. The Porsche PDLS light system adjusts the headlight beam based on driving speed.
The exterior design changes will include wide-flared rear wheel arches, a wider track, 20-inch wheels painted in an exclusive matte black, smoked bi-xenon headlights, black trim strips on the customized GTS air intake screen and black chrome-plated exhaust tailpipes.
Under the hood we have a six-cylinder engine with 430 hp. The power is better used thanks to Sport Chrono package and the PASM active damper system which lowers the car’s ride height by 10 mm (0.4 inches). When combined with the fast gear changes of the PDK gearbox, the 911 GTS sprints from 0 to 100 km/h (62 mph) in 4.0 seconds. The cabriolet needs 4.2 seconds.
The top speed of each GTS model is beyond the 300 km/h (186 mph) limit, while the fastest can clock 306 km/h (190 mph). The new 911 GTS will be offered in Germany at prices starting at 117.549 Euros.
