Opel unveiled today the new generation Corsa, set to be unveiled during this year Paris Motor Show and go on sale at the end of the year.
The new generation Corsa keeps the same platform as the old generation, but improves handling and structural rigidity. The 2015 Corsa has now a new electric steering with a City function to improve maneuvrability in urban areas.
Being built on the same platform, the new Corsa is only 3 mm longer than the old model, which means it offers almost the same interior space and a luggage area of 285 liters.
The design continues the lines introduced by Adam, with sharpened headlights, LED daytime running lights, a boomerang line sculpted on the lateral doors and a back similar to what we see today on the current Corsa.
The revolution is inside the car, where the dashboard now houses a 7 inch display, connected ot a InteliLink multimedia system, ready to connect with very Android and iOS operated smartphone.
The list of safety features now includes Hill Start Assist, Automatic Park Assist, Tire Pressure Monitoring System, Side Blindspot Alert, High Beam Assist and Lane Departure Warning.
The engine range will include, along the old 1.2 and 1.4 liter naturally aspirated engines, the new 1.0 liter Ecotec unit. The three cylinder engine is offered with two engine options: 90 and 115 hp. There will also be a 1.4 liter turbo delivering 100 hp and 200 Nm. Those opting for a diesel will find the 1.3 liter CDTI with 75 or 95 hp.
