A couple of days ago, our colleagues form Top Gear have published a few pictures with an upcoming model signed by Hennessey. Today, the American tuner has published the first official pictures and has announced the first details of the upcoming Venom F5.
The new Hennessey Venom F5 is set to become the world’s fastest production car ever made and it is estimated to achieve a 290 mph top speed. It has a drag coefficient of 0.4 and thanks to its retractable wing and its rear diffuser a lot of down force is generated.
Under the bonnet of the 2015 Hennessey Venom GT is the same twin-turbo V8 7.0 liter unit. It can deliver more than 1.400 horsepower and will have only 1.300 kilograms. As a result the ratio HP per kilograms will be higher than 1:1.
According to Hennessey, the new car will run from stand still to 300 km/h in less than 13.63 seconds. The new Venom F5 will come with a newly developed single clutch paddle shift transmission, a GPS-based stability / traction control system and with special brakes.
The new Hennessey Venom F5 will be revealed somewhere in 2015 and the deliveries will kick off at the end of 2016. According to the Texas-based tuner, the Venom F5 will be made in minimum 30 units.
