Chevrolet has announced the price list for the new 2015 Corvette Z06. Judging by the fact that the Z06 offers performance that rivals the previous ZR1, you shouldn’t be surprise by the $78,995 USD base price for the coupe and $83,995 USD for the convertible Z01.
The 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 will be available in three trim levels and it features a supercharge 6.2 liter V8 engine rated at 650 horsepower and 881 Nm peak of torque. The engine can be mated to a seven speed manual or to an optional 8 speed automatic transmission.
If you are not impressed by the overall look of the car you can add the Carbon Fiber Ground Effects package which can be yours for $2,995 USD extra. It comes with a functional carbon fiber front splitter, carbon fiber side skirts and a massive rear spoiler.
In addition, Chevrolet has also prepared the Z07 Performance Package which can be yours for $7,995 USD. It features Brembo carbon ceramic-matrix brake rotors, Michelin Pilot Super Sport Cup tires, bigger winglets and an adjustable rear spoiler.

Very few cars in the world deliver 650 horsepower, true aerodynamic downforce, carbon fiber and performance technologies such as Magnetic Ride Control, Performance Traction Management and an electronic limited slip differential – and none gives the driver a transmission choice or the choice of a coupe with a removable roof panel or a full-power-top convertible", said Harlan Charles, Corvette product and marketing manager.
