Built to appeal to wealthy customers that made their fortune with dangerous clients, the 2015 BMW X5 Security Plus will be unveiled at the end of this August.
Judging by the nature of the vehicle and by its level of protection against aggressive attacks is no wonder that its world debut will take place during this year Moscow Motor Show.
The series production version of the armoured X5 was first anticipated by a concept, unveiled a year ago, during Frankfurt Motor Show. Built to offer the highest security level in its segment, the X5 Security Plus will feature special protection side panels and thick safety glass.
According to BMW preliminary Information, the BMW X5 Security Plus will have a protection class rating VR6, one of the highest on the market.
To help the armoured car move fast and loose its followers, BMW offers the X5 Security Plus with only one engine: the 4.4 liter TwinPower Turbo V8 petrol unit, capable of delivering 450 hp and a standard 650 Nm of torque. It is enough for a sprint from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 4.9 seconds as the standard X5 xDrive50i.
