Theophilus Chin seems to be in a very good mood after releasing the first rendered images with the BMW i8 Spyder. Now, the designer has unveiled the first picture with the BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe.
The German car manufacturer will sale the first car of the 2-Series line-up in 2014 with a possible reveal before the end of the 2013. The fist model will be the 2-Series Coupe. It will be followed by the soft top version and, in 2015 we could see the 2-Series Gran Coupe.
As you probably imagined, the BMW 2-Series Gran Coupe will be delivered to fight against the Mercedes-Benz CLA and Audi A3 Sedan.
It will be longer than the 2-Series coupe and it will definitely offer more space for the passengers. It will probably come with a series of four cylinder diesel and petrol units borrowed from the 1-Series line-up. There is also an M235i Gran Coupe with a six cylinder petrol unit that hasn’t yet been confirmed by the German officials.
But the spy photographers have managed to capture an undisguised M235i Coupe under testing. Under the hood, the German hot model is coming with a 3.0 liter with 320 horsepower and 450 Nm peek of torque.
