Audi has unveiled today, at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show the all-new 2015 TT model.
The brand-new TT model has similar proportions and dimensions to its predecessor and comes with an all-new exterior design that looks sleeker and sexier. The front end of the new Audi TT is more aggressive and has a more angular grille, new trapezoidal-shaped headlamps with more prominent LED internal graphics. Also, the is a contoured clamshell hood.
As we already mentioned, the new car is smaller at 164.6 inches long and 72.1 inches wide which means that is less than an inch shorter and less than half an inch narrower than its predecessor.
The new Audi also has a more-sophisticated two-plus-two interior where you can easily spot a 12.3-inch TFT screen powered by an Nvidia Tegra 30 graphic processor and clean-looking dashboard similar in appearance to that found in the Audi A3.
In terms of technical details, Audi will offer upon launch three 4-cylinder turbocharged, direct-injection engines. There will be 2.0 TFSI units: one with 230 HP and 370 Nm and one with 310 HP and 380 Nm in the TTS derivative. The third one is a 2.0 TDI outputting 184 HP and 380 Nm of torque.
The 230 HP 2.0 TFSI coupled to a six-speed manual gearbox enables the new TT to hit 62 mph in 6 seconds, before reaching a top speed limit of 155mph. The 310 HP TTS quattro-equipped model gets to 62 mph in 4.7 seconds, while the diesel TT needs 7.2 seconds for this task.
