Mercedes published a new video of its S- Class flagship, unveiled last month at the Airbus A380 center in Hamburg. The new movie highlights the tehnologies used by the german saloon.
On the outside, the 2014 S-Class comes with a CLA/CLS look. The new generation is a very different car than the one it replaces. It have to fill the gap left in the lineup by the Maybach and that’s why the 2014 S-Class feels more premium than the model it replaces.
Speaking of the current model, the new S-Class is longer and it offer an extra 14 millimeter of legroom for the back passengers. Inside the cabin, the new flagship sedan comes with a modern look.
As a luxury sedan, the 2013 Mercedes S-Class must offer the ultimate security system on the market. The limousine offers Distronic Plus with Steering Assist helps the driver to guidethe vehicle in its lane and can even follow the vehicle in front in slow-moving traffic automatically.
Brake Assist system BAS PLUS with Cross-Traffic Assist is able to detect cross traffic and also pedestrians, and if necessary boost the braking power applied by the driver accordingly.
Pre-Safe Impulse, the driver and front passenger are pulled away from the direction of impact by their seat belts at an early phase of the crash before the resulting occupant deceleration starts to increase. This can substantially reduce the risk and severity of injuries in a frontal collision.
