Mercedes unveiled today the first official images of the 2014 E-Class facelift. The revised E-segment sedan and estate will have their official debut next year in January, during NAIAS Detroit Motor Show.

The styling changes on the 2014 model are far more extensive than what you would expect from a mid-life makeover of a Mercedes-Benz model, with the most significant updates concerning the return to single headlamp units.

The redesign also brings a new front grille and bonnet together with re-styled bumpers, doors and fenders. At the back-end we have new taillights with LED technology and a revised spoiler.

The cosmetic changes on the outside continue inside the cabin with a freshened up trim. The 2014 model year E-Class adopts the same three-instrument gauge layout and the center console clock of the latest CLS, while also gaining new trims and changes to the buttons of the infotainment and air-conditioning systems.

The same revisions apply for Mercedes E-Class Estate.
