The 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will be offered with new engines shortly after the launch. As you may have read, the new generation of the 2014 C-Class will come with a 2.1 liter turbodiesel engine with 168 horsepower, with a 1.6 liter petrol unit rated at 154 HP and with 2.0 liter petrol which can output 181 HP. 
 
After the launch, the 2014 Mercedes-Benz C-Class will get a lot of new engines. The first one is a turbocharged 2.0 liter petrol engine which will be offered in a C250 model. It can offer 208 HP and 350 Nm peak of torque. The second version will be an ECO variant of the C220 Bluetec. It features an aerodynamic body kit and low rolling resistance tires. This is expected to have CO2 emissions close to 100 g/km.

Mercedes-Benz also promises to offer a 201 HP and 369 lb-ft peak of torque of the 2.1 liter turbodiesel engine in the C250 Bluetec.

All of these versions will get the all new 9G-Tronic nine speed automatic transmission. In late 2014, Mercedes-Benz will unveil the C63 AMG. It is rumored to come with a twin-turbo petrol V8 4.0 liter engine which will deliver between 454 HP and 493 HP.  

In 2015, the new generation of Mercedes-Benz C-Class will come in C300 Plug-In Hybrid version. It uses the turbocharged 2.0-litre direct injection petrol engine in 249bhp state of tune together with a 67bhp electric motor.
