The Italian car maker has unveiled in Shanghai the 2014 Ghibli. The new Italian model will be the first Maserati sold with a diesel engine.
We are talking about a 3.0 liter V6 turbo that can deliver 275 horsepower and 600 Nm peek of torque. The sprint form stand still to 100 km/h is made in 6.3 seconds while it can return 6 liter per 100 kilometers.
The new Ghibli will also be available with a V6 3.0 liter twin turbo petrol unit that can output 330 hp and 500 Nm. The most powerful version will be called S and will use the same V6 petrol engine tweaked to deliver 401 HP and 550 Nm.
All engines are linked to an eight speed ZF automatic gearbox and in Europe will be available with a Q4 all-wheel drive system. The new Q4 can provide "the responsiveness of a rear-wheel drive combined with the added security that only an all-wheel drive can bring in critical situations".
