Lamborghini and Zagato have teamed up once more and they have unveiled a unique 5-95 concept. The joint venture concept was showcased last weekend at Concorso D’Eleganza Villa d’Este.

As you may have read, Zagato is celebrating 95 years with this special project. The Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato is based on the Gallardo LP570-4 which was commissioned by collector Albert Spiess.

"I always appreciated the ability of Zagato to create timeless lines with a forceful visual impact. I believe that a sensual design inspired by nature, together with the best technology, strike a perfect balance that is possible to achieve only in Italy. The 5-95 will be a fundamental piece of my collection", said Albert Spiess.

On the exterior, the Italian concept wears the typical Zagato styling cues. We are talking about double bubble roof, a wraparound windscreen and some side air intakes which were seen on the 1996 Lamborghini Diablo-based Raptor concept by Zagato.

The new Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato is describes as being a modern collectible. It also features a centrally positioned intake on the roof and a shorter rear end which was made to reveal the brutality of the mechanical components. The 2014 Lamborghini 5-95 Zagato will remain a one-off project so only Albert Spiess will have the possibility of enjoying this heavily modified Gallardo.

First collaboration between Lamborghini and Zagato was made in 1965 with the 3500 GTZ model.
