Koenigsegg has officially revealed today the brand-new 2014 One:1 model. The new Swedish hypercar will be internationally unveiled in a couple of days at the 2014 Geneva Motor Show and is set to become the world’s fastest production car.
According to the Swedish car manufacturer officials, the new One:1 offers 1 megawatt of power which means it delivers 1,341 horsepower and 1,371 Nm peak of torque at 6,000 rpm. All this amount of power is provided by a V8 5.0 liter aluminum engine.
The 2014 Koenigsegg One:1 has a body weight of 1,341 kilograms and provides a 1:1 power-to-weight ratio. The engine resources are sent to the wheels thanks to a dual clutch seven speed transmission and via an electronic differential. As a result the 2014 Koenigsegg One:1 can sprint from zero to 248.5 mph in about 20 seconds, while stopping from that speed takes around 10 seconds.
As you probably have read in our previous posts, the braking system was carried over from the Agera R and it has a 397 mm front power assisted ventilated ceramic discs with six-piston calipers. In addition, Koenigsegg has fitted the new One:1 with a rear triplex suspension with active shock absorbers and carbon bevel springs.
The One:1 sits on 19-inch front / 20-inch carbon fiber wheels covered in custom Michelin Cup Tires which have a speed rating of 273 mph. The engine is compatible with normal gasoline and E85 biofuel as well as race fuel.
"It has been an amazing ride. From boyhood dream to a shining, all-conquering and powerful reality. It’s awe-inspiring stuff that dreams are made of", is said in the official statement.
