Pricing for the all-new 2014 Audi SQ5 high-performance luxury crossover – the first-ever S variant of any Audi Q model – will begin at $51,900. The Audi SQ5 is expected to arrive in U.S. showrooms later this summer.
The Audi SQ5 boasts a supercharged 3.0-liter TFSI direct-injection V6 engine that achieves 354 hp and 347 lb-ft of torque. Propelling from 0-60 mph in 5.1 seconds, the SQ5 reaches a top track speed of 155 mph.
Mated to an eight-speed Tiptronic automatic transmission, the Audi SQ5 features the Audi quattro all-wheel drive system for superior traction and handling.
All Q5’s feature a roof rack detection system that is directly linked to the Electronic Stability Control (ESC) control unit. When the crossbars are installed, a signal is sent that adjusts driving dynamic relevant parameters according to the center of gravity. When the crossbars are not installed, the ESC program adjusts dynamics to allow for more enthusiastic driving.
