Audi has revealed today the brand-new 2014 R8 LMX supercar. The new German sports car is described as the world’s first production car with laser high beams. The German supercar is featuring a unique set of headlights with four high power laser diodes which can emit white light at a color temperature of 5,500 Kelvin. 
 
The lights are activated automatically at 60 km/h and are able to enhance visibility and safety on the road. Furthermore, the 2014 Audi R8 LMX comes with a camera-based sensor system that detects other cars and actively adjusts the light patter to exclude them. 

On the exterior, the 2014 Audi R8 LMX has an Ara Blue paint scheme and carbon fiber accessories. Furthermore, the German designers have added black tailpipes, carbon fiber ceramic brake discs and unique 19 inch alloy wheels. 
 
Inside the cockpit, the 2014 Audi R8 LMX has Fine Nappa leather upholstery with Sepang Blue contrast stitching and Ara Blue accents. The cabin also features an Alcantara headliner, carbon fiber accessories and illuminated door sill plates.
Under the bonnet, the 2014 Audi R8 LMX is featuring the 5.2 liter V10 engine whoch can deliver 570 horsepower and 540 Nm peak of torque. The petrol unit is matted to a seven speed S tronic gearbox while the resources are put to the ground thanks to the quattro all wheel drive system. Under these conditions, the German supercar can sprint from stand still to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds while the top speed is clocked at 320 km/h.

According to Audi, the new 2014 R8 LMX is available for order and in Germany the car has a starting price of 210,000 Euros. Furthermore, the production will be limited to 99 units, with first deliveries scheduled for this summer.
