The new generation Volkswagen Golf, presented two weeks ago in Paris Motor Show, is already preparing some new surprises for its clients.
 
The German manufacturer announced today that it will enrich the compact car range with a choice of three new generation petrol engines. First of them is a 1.2 liter TSI with BlueMotion Technology and 105 hp. Second is a 1.4 liter TSI engine, available in two power version. One will offer 122 hp and the second one 140 hp, also enjoying a cylinder deactivation system. The new engines may be combined with either a 6-speed manual gearbox or a 7-speed dual clutch gearbox (DSG).
 
Along the new engines, VW will also offer its 4 wheel drive 4motion system, but only on two versions: the 1.6 liter TDI of 105 hp and the 2.0 liter TDI of 150 hp.
 
The germans are also offering a new driver assistance pack, included as an option on the Comfortline and Highline trim lines. This includes ACC adaptive cruise control, Bi-xenon headlights with LED daytime running lights and cornering lights, “Dynamic Light Assist” dynamic main beam control, light and sight pack, “Lane Assist” lane-keeping assistant, anti-theft warning system “Plus”, traffic sign detection.
 
The package will be available for 1690 euros.
