Unveiled last week in Los Angeles Auto Show, the new generation Toyota RAV4 is heading to UK. The japanese manufacturer announced today the engines available for its new crossover and the prices for each version.
The car will offer a choice of three powerplants. First will be a 2.0 D-4D diesel available only with front-wheel drive and a 6-speed manual. Second is a a 2.2-liter D-4D diesel rated at 148bhp with a choice of 6-speed manual and automatic transmissions as well as FWD and AWD configurations.
Range is rounded by a petrol engine, a 2.0-litre Valvematic unit producing 156bhp.
Pricing in the UK starts at £22,595 on-the-road for the base 2.0 D-4D Active model, rising to £29,295 for the range-topping 2.2 D-4D AWD Auto Invincible.
There are three trim grades available, with the entry-level Active featuring 17-inch alloys, air conditioning, Bluetooth, plus electric windows front and rear as standard.
The Icon trim adds a powered tailgate, power-folding mirrors, rain-sensing wipers, an auto-dimming rear-view mirror, part-leather instrument panel trim, dual-zone automatic air conditioning and the Toyota Touch multimedia touchscreen with a DAB digital tuner, rear-view camera and Bluetooth.
Sitting at the top of the range is the new Invincible grade that gains roof rails, leather upholstery, heated front seats, rear parking sensors and Smart Entry and Start.
First deliveries will start at the beginning of March 2013.
