Yesterday we show you the first official sketch with the upcoming Smart ForJoy Concept. Today, the German car manufacturer has unveiled its prototype with just a week ahead of Frankfurt Motor Show debut.
According to Smart, the roof, rear window and doors are just "unnecessary ballast" so they ditched them. The prototype measure 3.494 millimeters ling, 1.978 millimeters wide and 1.494 millimeters tall.
As we previously told, the new 2013 Smart ForJoy Concept will preview the upcoming generation of the ForTwo and ForFour production models. The new ForJoy is characterized by the front grille, the headlamps and the LED DRL built in the spoiler.
Inside the cabin, there are two futuristic seats and a modern rear bench. To complete this picture, the German car maker has decided to feature a honeycomb structure for the dashboard and some transparent Plexiglas for the instrument panel support.
Under the bonnet, we find an electric motor that offers 74 horsepower. It is kept alive by a 17.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack. It can be recharged in seven hours from a domestic socket or in just an hour if you chose to go on a public charging station.
