Renault decided to introduce a new special version of the current Megane to cover the gap between the basic versions of the car and the performance Renaultsport derivative. Called Megane Estate GT 220, the car is a Renault Sport limited edition for customers who wish to combine the benefits of an estate car with sporty performance.
Powered by a 2.0 turbo petrol engine incorporating Stop&Start system, Megane Estate GT 220 delivers 220 horsepower, as its name suggests, and maximum torque of 340Nm. It also returns fuel consumption of just 7.3 litres/100km in everyday use, equivalent to 169g of CO2/km.
Technical features which benefit from Renault Sport expertise and technology: a chassis based on the Sport chassis available for Megane R.S., specific suspension, the same high-performance tyres as Megane R.S., specifically-calibrated electric power steering for the GT chassis and braking performance.
On the outside, the new Megane Estate GT 220 features a number of gloss black details, ranging from the door mirrors and diffuser, to the front air scoops and roof bars. It sits on exclusive gloss black 18-inch Serdard wheels.
The limited edition version can also be recognized by its GT 220 badging and body-colour door handles.
