Daimler has released new photos with the 2013 Mercedes SL which apart from presenting the car with new body colours, also show the roadster during its assembly and testing stages.
As a reminder, the new SL debuted at the 2012 NAIAS in Detroit in January, and besides featuring a fresh new appearance, the car comes with a lighter (- 140 Kg), more rigid body, improved engines, a light magnesium frame hard top and an adaptive windscreen wipe/wash system called MAGIC VISION CONTROL which supplies water directly from the wiper blade.
This 6th generation SL also comes with an unique audio system that uses the vehicle’s aluminium structures as resonance spaces for the bass loudspeakers.
The engine range comprises from a 3.5-litre V6 rated at 302 HP and 370 Nm of torque and a 4.7-litre V8 developing 429 HP and 699 Nm of torque.
These two engines will be fitted on the SL 350 and SL 500 respectively, versions for which pricing will start at 93,534 Euro and at 117,096 Euro.
