Jeep decided to offer a new approach on the current Grand Cherokee and prepared a facelift for its famous SUV. The modifications wil be introduced today, during Detroit Motor Show.
 
The car features new headlamps with LED Daytime Running Lamps, body color grille with chrome rings, adaptive headlamps, LED taillamps, lower rear fascias that are unique for each model, mirrors, chrome, power fold, with approach lamps, redesigned tailgate for improved aerodynamics and visibility, Sharkfin body-colored antenna. There are also new body-colours: Cashmere Pear Clear, Granite Crystal Metallic, Pacific Blue Pearl, True Blue Pearl, Auburn Pearl and Redline Pearl Clear.
 
The 2013 version also adds some new gadgets. Navigation for Uconnect brings the ease of use of Garmin into an original equipment, in-dash radio. The navigator includes highly detailed maps of the United States, Canada, and Mexico with more than eight million points of interest, as well as many cutting-edge features found in the newest Garmin devices. 
 
The Uconnect Media Centers R3 and R4 provide the 2014 Grand Cherokee with a built-in cellular connection so vehicle occupants are automatically connected to a variety of new services and the internet with WiFi hotspot capability. The new Uconnect Media Centers provide a direct connection to emergency services when the new 911 button found on the rearview mirror is pushed.
 
Filling the gauge cluster in front of the driver is an available 7-inch, color, premium vehicle information screen, featuring a new customizable function that enables customers to personalize information inside the instrument cluster. Similar to the premium Uconnect Systems, select 7-inch instrument cluster background screens are branded with a Jeep theme.
 
Along this visual updates, Jeep has introduced a new 8-speed automatic transmission with paddle shifters on all available engines, including the new for the U.S. market 3.0-liter V6 turbo diesel, which is said to return an estimated 30mpg highway (7.8 lt/100km).
