After a disappointing Virage, who brought only 1000 clients in more than 18 months, Aston Martin is repositioning is fleet. The British car manufacturer decided to axe the Virage and replace it with something you know very well: the current DB9.

But, already 8 years old, the DB9 needed a fresh face. Done. At this year Paris Motor Show we will see a subtle facelift for the DB9.

Even though the aesthetic changes are scarce, Aston really wants to emphasize them in a press release: ”The styling changes see DB9 adopt an even more lithe, fluid and pure form reminiscent of the outgoing Aston Martin Virage which ceases production with immediate effect. Taking a classic Aston Martin GT silhouette as its base, the new DB9 adds a more pronounced rear boot ‘flip’ to further enhance the aerodynamic performance of the car.”

Under the hood of the 2013 Aston Martin DB9 is the most recent version of the firm’s V12 6.0-liter engine that produces 510 horsepowers and 620 Nm of torque at 5,500 rpm. Enough to enable the DB9 for reaching 100 km/h in just 4.6 seconds, and topping a speed of 295 km/h.

Prices of the 2013 Aston Martin DB9 begin from $185,400 and first deliveries start from November 2012.
