For 2012 Seat decided to make one of its performance models, the Leon FR+ look even sportier thanks to special edition styling kit dubbed ‘Supercopa’.
The moniker comes from Seat’s successful global one-make race series, while the car has been built by the same engineers at Seat Sport who also nurtured the WTCC title-winning race models.
So what does the 2012 SEAT Leon FR+ Supercopa kit consist of ? well it includes re-worked front and rear bumpers, new side skirts, a more pronounced tailgate spoiler, a set of bespoke BBS 18 inch alloy wheels and chrome-tipped twin exhaust.
This version will be available in Nevada White, Emocion Red or Speed Blue, with engine choices including Seat’s 211 PS 2.0-litre TSI petrol or the 2.0-litre TDI CR turbodiesel rated at 170 PS.
The 2012 SEAT Leon FR+ Supercopa takes the FR+ trim level further by featuring a satellite-navigation with a 5-cinh colour touch screen, DAB radio, Bluetooth audio streaming, an SD card slot, Bluetooth phone connection, bi-xenon lights and rear parking sensors.
Seat says the extra features on the Supercopa version are worth 3,000 GBP but the car will only cost with 750 GBP more than the standard version FR+.
This means the 2012 SEAT Leon FR+ Supercopa price starts at 22,530 GBP for the TDI variant equipped with a 6-speed manual gearbox.
