The first images showing renderings of the production version 2012 Opel Astra GTC have been revealed. Even though the upcoming 3-door hatch is shown in a virtual environment, the automaker says they are now running the final validation tests, and that the car will be fully unveiled in just 6 weeks, on June 7th.

That is when the company is also expected to announce full details regarding technology, pricing, equipment and powertrain options, giving potential customers the chance of placing an early order.

The production version 2012 Opel Astra GTC will premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September, and the first units will arrive in the UK showrooms (wearing the Vauxhall badge) in late autumn.

The 2012 Opel Astra GTC is based on the GTC Paris concept, from which the production version seems to have retained almost every feature. This upcoming 3-door hatch is able to accommodate five adult inside its cabin, and even though official figures are not out, its engine is most likely going to produce somewhere around 250 HP.
