The first official video with the 2012 Mercedes SLK has also been launched today, and by looking at the footage you will agree that this new model has evolved in every aspect when compared to the previous generation.
The overall design design seems influenced by the new CLS, while the rear end reminds of the the same lines as the one on the McLaren F1 Stirling Moss. As far as the interior we can notice a connection between the 2012 Mercedes SLK and the SLS, something which can only be good.
The engine lineup for the 2012 Mercedes SLK comprises of three new engines, a 184 HP and 204 HP 1.8-litre turbo for the SLK200, a SLK250 respectively, plus a 3.5-litre V6 for the SLK350. The 184 HP version will not be sold on the North American market.
An AMG version fitted with a 5.5-litre V8 and badged as the SLK55 is also expected.
