Daimler has posted photos with the 2012 Mercedes C63 AMG on their official press site, and even though we waited for the corresponding press release, they have instead removed the photos, which leads us to believe it was some kind of mistake from their part.
The 2012 Mercedes C63 AMG which will be showcased at the Geneva Motor Show in March, is based on the facelift C Class and will be available both as sedan and estate body styles.
In terms of design the 2012 Mercedes C63 AMG have received the ‘usual’ upgrades, which enable more power and also offer a touch of sportiness at the exterior, due to elements like larger air intakes, horizontally positioned LEDs on the front bumper, a new grille featuring a chrome surround, as well as new side sills, rear diffuser, spoiler extensions and rims.
On the mechanical side the 2012 Mercedes C63 AMG will use the company’s improved 6.3-litre V8 which is mated to a 7-speed transmissions, so even though performance has increased to 463 HP and 600 Nm of torque, fuel consumption has been lowered to 12 litres per 100 Km.
We’ll be back with more details regarding the 2012 Mercedes C63 AMG as soon as Daimler decides to make them public. Until then you can enjoy the photo gallery below the jump.
