Fresh new info regarding the 2012 Mazda MX-5 is starting to emerge,
and according to the latest rumors the next generation cabriolet will
draw inspiration from the Nagare design language.
The 2012 Mazda
MX-5 is expected to loose some of its weight, as the current version is
considered being to heavy when compared to the original MX-5.
Apparently the Japanese car maker wants the 2012 Mazda MX-5 to weight no
more than 1,000 Kilograms while details regarding engine options are
non-existent at this point.
If we are to make speculations the
2012 Mazda MX-5 will probably use the company’s Sky-G petrol units, but
1.6 or 1.8-litre engines are also likely to be used.
As far as
putting power to the ground the 2012 Mazda MX-5 will use a 6-speed manual
gearbox as standard while a dual-clutch transmission will be available
on the options list.
