Mazda will bring the 2012 MX5 at this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, but untill then the Japanese company is offering a preview of their compact crossover SUV featuring the latest SKYACTIV TECHNOLOGY and the ‘KODO – Soul of Motion’ design language.
According to the company, the 2012 Mazda CX5 will be launched with new gasoline and diesel engines, new manual and automatic transmissions and with a newly developed body and chassis. All these features enable a high quality ride, maximize safety and increase efficiency, and at this point the automaker has only mentioned that the European spec model will make use of Mazda’s SKYACTIV-G 2.0 gasoline engine and
SKYACTIV-D 2.2 diesel engine, with the later targeting CO2 emissions of below 120 grammes per Km.
Besides the 2012 Mazda MX5, the Japanese company will also showcase the facelift version 2012 Mazda3 in Frankfurt, a car which also comes with an updated interior and exterior, enhanced driving dynamics and lowered emissions.
