A new version of the new Lexus GS, the GS 250, has joined the Japanese automaker’s lineup. The car was unveiled at the Guangzhou motor show in China and it features a 2.5-litre V6 Dual VVT-i engine with an D-4S direct port injection that produces 206 bhp at 6,400 rpm and 253 Nm of torque at 4,800 rpm.
Fitted with a 6-speed ECT-i automatic transmission with sequential manual shift function and selectable drive modes, the 2012 Lexus GS 250 can sprint from 0 to 62 mph in 8.6 seconds and can reach a top speed of 142 mph.
Combined fuel consumption figures for GS 250 are 31.7 mpg (UK rating) while CO2 emission levels are 207 grammes per Km.
The 2012 Lexus GS 250 will go on sale next summer (June 2012 in the UK), but its pricing remains unknown at this point.
