As it announced its lineup for this year’s Frankfurt Motor Show, the Korean automaker has also released the first set of photos with the second generation Hyundai i30.
This facelift version 2012 Hyundai i30 will continue its battle in the C-segment with a restyled exterior, a better interior and a new engine range. The most visible exterior features are at the front where the new i30 received a pair of revamped headlights and fog lights, while the grille has also been redesigned.
The 2012 Hyundai i30 sits on newly designed alloy wheels, while at the interior the Korean hatchback is starting to resemble with the Veloster.
The engines which will be offered on the 2012 Hyundai i30 facelift include two petrols and two diesels. The petrols are a 1.4-litre delivering 100 HP and a 1.6-litre GDI rated at 140 HP while the diesels include a 1.4-litre CRDi good for 90 HP and a 1.6-litre CRDi capable of producing 126 HP. A 6-speed manual gearbox will be offered as standard, with an optional 6-speed automatic also available.
Apart from the 2012 Hyundai i30 Facelift, the company will also bring the new i40 Saloon and the 1+2 Veloster coupe 2011 IAA in Frankfurt.
