Autocar has expressed its opinions regarding the 2012 Audi A6 Avant in a 90 seconds long review video, but before we tell you what they think about it here are some reference numbers for this 3.0-litre TDI model seen here.
The car is propelled by a 2,967 cc turbo diesel V6 capable of delivering 201 bhp at 3,750 rpm and 295 lb-ft of torque at 1,250 rpm via an 8-speed automatic gearbox. The 2012 Audi A6 Avant tips the scale at 1,750 Kg and its consumption and emissions figures are 54.3 mpg (UK rating) and 136 g/Km of CO2.
The 0 to 62 mph acceleration time is 7.4 seconds while the maximum speed that can be reached in it is 143 mph. Pricing for the new A6 Avant starts at around 41,000 GBP, but the model show in this review costs 66,745 GBP.
Autocar warns that for those who like to add alot of options to their cars, this car could end up costing as much as 79,000 GBP.
Anyway, the bottom line is that Autocar considers the 2012 Audi A6 Avant a "likable, capable, competent new arrival in the estate class", however this is not a model that would convince customers in turning away from the Mercedes E Class Estate.
Why does Autocar think that? well check out the video and see for yourself.
