Various sources are reporting that the German automaker has given the 2011 Porsche Panamera Hybrid the green light for production.
Power will get extracted from the same system used in the Cayenne Hybrid, which means the 2011 Porsche Panamera Hybrid will use a 3.0-litre V6 that packs 329 bhp that will receive an additional 46 bhp from an electric motor.
The 2011 Porsche Panamera Hybrid will be able to run on just its electric motor or just the 3.0-litre V6 and the company’s 8-speed automatic transmission is expected to spin the wheels.
So the 2011 Porsche Panamera Hybrid will be the second model with a hybrid powertrain other than the Cayenne and starting from next year the automaker will also begin tests with three electric Boxters.
