Daimler has published new photos with the 2011 Mercedes S63 S65 AMG
as well as announcing the price for their range topping luxury saloons which will make their market debut
towards the end of September.
Powered by a 5.5-litre V8 that
features direct petrol injection with spray-guided combustion and twin
turbocharging which is good for 571 HP (420 kW) and 900 Nm of torque the
2011 Mercedes S63 AMG is available in both short wheelbase and long
wheelbase body styles.
Power is put to the ground via an AMG
SPEEDSHIFT MCT seven-speed transmission and when accelerating from 0 to
100 Km/h the 2011 Mercedes S63 AMG needs only 4.5 seconds, while its top
speed is limited to 250 Km/h (0 to 100 Km/h in 4.4 seconds, top speed
300 Km/h with the AMG Performance Package).
Fuel consumption has
been improved as the 2011 Mercedes S63 AMG needs 10.5 -litres to cover
100 Km and has CO2 emissions of 244 grams per Km.
The 2011 Mercedes S65 AMG now produces 630 HP (463 kW) and market launch will also start in September.
The 2011 Mercedes S63 AMG price starts at 143,752 Euro for the regular version while the long-wheelbase model starts at 151,368 Euro.
