Information regarding motorisation options on the 2011 Dodge Challenger have been revealed thanks to some leaked documents that appeared online.
These documents mention that the current 3.5-litre V6 will be replaced by the 3.6-litre Pentastar V6 outputting 305 HP (227 kW) and 263 Nm of torque (268 lb-ft), so this means a 55 HP increase.
The 5.7-litre HEMI V8 has been optimised to produce 379 HP (283 kW) and 555 Nm (410 lb-ft) of torque instead of 372 HP (277 kW) and 542 Nm (400 lb-ft) like the ongoing version Dodge Challenger.
The most powerful version 2011 Dodge Challenger will be the 6.4-litre HEMI V8 that replaces the current 6.1-litre HEMI V8, and which will be badged as the 392. The 2011 Dodge Challenger 392 will be capable of spitting put 475 HP (354 kW) and 623 Nm (460 lb-ft) of torque, which means a 50 HP gain.
The 2011 Dodge Challenger will also feature minor visual changes along with a revised suspension, better brakes, and new tires from Firestone (Firehawk).
Th 2011 Dodge Challenger 392 will be assembled in a limited run of 1100 exemplars.
