Daimler decided to launch a special edition model, the 2009 Mercedes G Class EDITION 30 as a way to celebrate the anniversary of their famous off-roader. Through the 2009 Mercedes G Class EDITION 30 the company wants to pay its respects to the first generation G Class and as expected the vehicle is optimized foe the toughest tasks.
Some elements found on the 2009 Mercedes G Class EDITION 30 that will once again make the iconic 4×4 fulfill the needs and dreams of world travelers and expedition leaders are the all-terrain tyres in size 265/75 R 16 on aluminium rims, flexible wheel arch flaring, protective grilles for the headlamps and lights, a walk-on bonnet for easier access to the optional roof rack, a towing lug at the front and a two-section rear door.
At the interior the 2009 Mercedes G Class EDITION 30 features four individual seats covered in either hard-wearing fabric or man-made leather, rubber floor coverings in the passenger compartment, spray-protected controls and drainage apertures in the footwells. Also as an option the vehicle can be fitted with an manually operated air conditioning system.
