The Blue Oval is now offering a number of upgrades for the 2009 Ford Fiesta model sold on the British market.
Some of these 2009 Ford Fiesta upgrades include the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) as standard across the range while the top of the line Titanium variant also gets Bluetooth and USB connectivity. The 2009 Ford Fiesta is also now equipped with the company’s Stage V diesel engines that offer increased output while cutting down CO2 emissions.
The most powerful version will be the 2009 Ford Fiesta 1.6 TDCi that develops 95 PS (5 PS more than before) which has CO2 emissions of 98g/Km thanks to the diesel particulate filters (DPF).

BRENTWOOD, Essex, 26 April, 2010 – Safety, technology and powertrain upgrades are being added to the highly successful Ford Fiesta range.  Already number one in the UK sales charts, the Fiesta range is being further enhanced to keep Britain’s favourite small car in pole position.
All newly-ordered Fiestas will have Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) as standard, bringing Fiesta in line with Ford’s large and medium car line-ups. ESP previously cost around £300. Customers choosing the Studio series will find heated door mirrors and an in-car entertainment bonus of remote steering-mounted controls, aux-in jack and two additional speakers.  Top-of-the-range Titanium models now have Bluetooth and USB connection as standard, worth around £200. A sophisticated new colour, Ink Blue, is also now available across all models.
Engines
Engines change to new Stage V emission levels, with all diesels fitted with diesel particulate filters (DPF) and on all series including the 98gCO2/km ECOnetic.   Diesel engine power goes up by 5PS to 95PS from the 1.6-litre TDCi with DPF.
From August 2010 the latest Stage V engine tuning takes the Fiesta 1.4-litre TDCi with DPF up 2PS to 70PS.
CO2 improvements
Three petrol engines see a reduction in CO2 emissions:
    * 1.25-litre 82PS reduced by 4g to 129g
    * 1.6-litre 95PS reduced by 3g to 107g
    * 1.6-litre Ti-VCT 120PS reduced by 5g to 134g
For the 1.25-litre engine, 129g/km emissions puts the Ford Fiesta into a lower VED band, resulting in an annual saving of £110.
Ford Fiesta and Ford Focus occupy the first and second positions among the UK’s best selling cars.  Fiesta takes 8.6 per cent share of its market.
