It seems that Toyota has not put to much thought into keeping the FT-86 secret until the official unveiling time in Tokyo, or this is all part of a new strategy on how to get everyone’s attention before the complete batch of photos and details get released.
Either way there seems to be a high volume of interest regarding this model, so here are some more leaked images with the FT-86 this time in TRD trim.
These Toyota Racing Development (TRD) tuning parts appeared in a catalog with was scanned and made available on the Internet via the ft86club forum, and as you can see the list of visual upgrades includes a more aggressive looking front spoiler which also features side fins, revised side sills, a new diffuser and a small bot lid lip.
These exterior components complement the FT-86 TRD’s list of performance upgrades which includes a height adjustable suspension, enhanced brakes and sports exhaust system.
From these images we see that the Toyota FT-86 TRD will also be equipped with sports air and oil filters and strut tower bars for increased body stiffness.
