Mercedes has unveiled the latest generation SL today, 60 years after the original model has first seen the daylight.
If compared to the model it replaces, the 2012 Mercedes SL represents an evolution in terms of design, driving dynamics, engine performance and efficiency, with some of its main highlights being its full-aluminium body, its BlueDIRECT engines and its suspension which can enable sporty as well as comfortable rides.
We have already covered most of these aspects in our previous article earlier today, but in case you missed it we will remind you that the new SL will offer a choice between a 302 HP 3.2-litre V6 and a 429 HP 4.7-litre V8. These units will require 6.8 or 9.2-litres of fuel per 100 Km, while their respective combined CO2 figures are 159 and 214 g/Km.
The German car maker has also released a presentation video for the 2013 Mercedes SL, so if you want to see how the new roadster looks like in motion then follow the jump and hit play.
